Operate Some Heavy Construction Equipment

For some reason, ever since I was a kid, I have been FASCINATED and MESMERIZED by various heavy construction equipment. They always catch my attention when they drive by on the roads or are at construction sites. Cranes, forklifts, bulldozers, scissor lifts, loaders, dump trucks, excavators, backhoes, boom lifts, telehandlers, truck mounted cranes, drum rollers, etc. I feel these machines are work of arts in their own way and a testament to human beings’ imagination and fortitude to create ways to build things using engine power.

So, if I could do a job for a day, I would like to learn to SAFELY operate a crane, truck mounted crane, boom and scissor lift. I think it would be doggone cool to try operating these just one time. This is instantly what I thought of when I saw this question.
