You will curse me.

You will spite me.

You intensely hate

My image which is similar

To your own one.

You have turned away

From your responsibility

As a man,

As a father,

As a brother,

As a leader,

As a human.

You only want me

To fight for you,

To die for you,

To drown for you,

To defend you.

Yet, collectively,

You do NOTHING

For my image.

I will not sacrifice

My humanity,

My dignity,

My femininity,

To fight a battle

Which only benefits

You. Only you.

Collectively,

Would you do the same?

Would you march

Riot,

Loot,

burn things,

on my behalf?

Didn’t think so.

I’m not willing to do it.

I won’t do it.

I ain’t gonna do it.

Find some other

Female soldier.

I will not fight

Your battles at all.

I will continue to

Stand grounded in

My humanity,

My dignity,

My femininity.

For the rest

Of my life.
