Surface Abnormality

I shun bridal showers.

I shun some weddings.

I don’t mingle with others.

I stay on the outskirts.

If a group gets together,

I run the other way.

If a group mingles together,

I stay the hell away.

I am very strange,

Not normal, not common.

Very unsocial, not nice,

Until. . . . you get to know me.
