This is a difficult question to answer. Yes, I have some grudges I am holding. I don’t let them fester within my soul and I live my daily life. I just can’t stand when someone mistreats me, stabs me in the back and gets away with doing so.
I have experienced jealousy, envy and backstabbing over the years in my various jobs. These types of activities can make work life feel like absolute hell. The individuals I hold grudges against are the ones who lied on me, gaslit me, held the knife in my back and plunged it in while keeping a straight, face, smiling face. I feel I have a right to hold and keep these grudges. I don’t believe that everyone should be forgiven. I believe it is possible to be able to NOT forgive and move forward in life normally and healthily. If a person who you hold a grudge against shows remorse, apologizes and is sincere with it all, then that is one thing. But if the person or persons feel and show no remorse or guilt for what they have done, then to me, they are trash. I am not wasting my time offering out forgiveness to people who are heartless, pieces of excrement.
You have the power to hold grudges and you also have the power to not let them take over your life as well. I continue on living life and doing the things I have to do and want to do. I always remember the folks who were kind to me and also the ones who were unkind to me.
Don’t let grudges hold you back and don’t let them affect you in an unhealthy way overtime. This is what I want to say.
