I am a human who loves sleep. I believe one of my past lives was actually a cat.
Since I was very young, I recall always needing and wanting to sleep. It usually helped refresh me, relax me, restore me. This has not changed since I became an adult. That part of me is still very much alive and well me.
I’m a highly sensitive person. I get overstimulated by sounds, environmental noises, and and sights at times. I have learned over the years that lazy days are not optional, they are a NECESSITY for me to properly take care of myself.
Also, I am a high school and middle school ESL teacher here in Shanghai. I deal with MANY different kids and personalities 5 days a week. I enjoy interacting and teaching my students and at the same time it demands a TON of energy, time, effort from me.
I have to be able to restore what I give out. Therefore, lazy days are healing and refreshing for me. I end up feeling rested and ready to move forward with my regular tasks of work, Toastmasters and chores.
