Studying for the HSK 3 Exam
Daily writing prompt
What have you been putting off doing? Why?

I want to study for and take the The Chinese Proficiency Test/HSK3 exam. I have put off doing it because I have not been in the right frame of mind to focus on it.

Learning Chinese has been difficult for me. I am not fluent in this language. There are so many characters to remember. It is challenging. However, I have made progress. Slowly.

In order for me to take the HSK 3 exam and pass it, I need to study the characters A LOT. It is something I plan to do next year. There are now 9 levels of this Chinese Proficiency Test. I want to do the 3rd test and then I will be satisfied with myself.

I can’t even begin to understand how a person learns a language as completely foreign to English as Chinese. Props to you, hope you do well in the exam! 😎🙏

Thank you. I am a slow, slow learner of this language. It is difficult, however, I make progress, slowly. Lol.

I just read another post and I assume Spanish is another language you speak? Wow! That’s awesome! 😎

I can remember some of it. Not fluent in it but it is funny. In learning Mandarin Chinese, these random Spanish words I forgot about come back to me in my mind while I am trying to remember a word in Chinese.

Maria, this was so inspiring — learning Chinese isn’t easy, but you’re clearly putting your heart into it. Bit by bit, you’ll get there. I share reflections like this on my blog too — check it out when you can https://free91783.wordpress.com/
