Taking Back My Energy (in celebration of Teacher’s Day)

I think in life, as humans, particularly women, we all get to a point where our patience is just worn thin.

Grinded down from the from the gears of consistent expectations of you to give, give give with no true appreciation in return.

I notice that people will siphon acres from you if you squeeze out a centimeter to them.

I take back my energy. My energy is my currency. I will give what I need to give and save the rest for myself.

As a teacher, my energy, patience, health and wellbeing are constantly taxed and sucked from me just based on the profession I am in.

So, I celebrate myself on this day. I teach myself to give back to me. Put me first.

Don’t EVER forget to take care of yourself and your needs. This is my message to you all.
