Processing in Thought

Greetings everyone. I know that I have not posted anything for a while. I had a long, relaxing and busy summer at the same time. My mind has been active with many thoughts and processing. It takes me time to turn them over and then put them out onto the computer screen (virtual paper, lol).

I reflect upon different lessons I have learned in life over these past few months. I feel that humanity is very complex and oftentimes, how we are brought up and some values we were raised with need to be questioned later in life.

In my opinion, I do not believe that every person who gets older ends up wiser. To be wiser means you need to learn from your own mistakes and mishaps as well as from others’ as well. There are people who do the same thing and make the same mistakes, hoping that the second, third or more time around, things will change. I have never wanted to be that kind of person.

To level up, you need to start internally. Deeply reflecting upon your life experiences and challenges, you can learn a lot about yourself from how you continuously handle adversity throughout your years. I think we all should be aware that at times, the things that were drilled into us and instilled into us as children by our parents (or whomever the primary person or person were that raised you) may not always pan out to be effective later in life. Some things are some things aren’t and will not be.

Our environment, our culture, whether it be national culture, ethnic culture, regional culture, etc. all have a deep impact on who we are and how we turn out as adults. To evolve as a human being, it is essential to internally examine the factors that hold us back or potentially make us at war with ourselves. Thinking and processing does NOTHING without action. Actively changing how we process and respond to challenges and situations overtime is the gritty internal, soul wrenching work that is not easy to do.

Through holding ourselves accountable and slowly harnessing the power that we do have within our spirit and soul, we can grow from the inside out and thrive.

These are the thoughts on my mind that I wish to share with you all, my beloved readers.
