Authentic Living: Embracing Inner Reflection on Summer Solstice

I’m a proponent of nurturing and growing oneself from the inside as much as from the outside. I often live inside my own head and my own inner world.

I feel that in today’s world, we focus too much on our outer appearance and ideals without doing the same for our inside. Today’s summer solstice has me thinking of my value system, particularly the one about inner growth.

I am not impressed by persistent social media show-offs and mindless parading of materialism rampant in these days. What a human shows on the outside is represented by what is inside them. Too many people are fooled by the flashy, rich, squeaky cleanness of what’s put onto public display. Underneath that dish of diamonds can be a tornado of turds.

Amid the façade that most humans put on, I focus on what is inside and what is underneath. Energy is real, whether it is negative or positive. I’m careful to use my discernment and intuition to determine what is true, sincere and what is fake and nonsense.

I believe that some people can choose how they want to exist on this planet (to a certain extent). I feel for me personally, flourishing internally is spiritually fulfilling to me.

Summer solstice today inspires me to keep being who I am in this upside down, crazy world. I want to shine a light, as sunshine within my own internal world and let it shine onto others.

We are here on planet Earth for a limited amount of time. Let us be grateful for what we have, show gratitude to ourselves and others who love and care about us. Even if we hide from the sun’s rays during summertime because it emits intense sunlight and heat, let’s keep our heart attuned to its energy and warmth on a spiritual level.
