Wazi Alley

Wazi Alley

You enchant me much,

I don’t know why.

Whenever I am here,

I must come to you.

You beam with age,

your trees stand perfect

In their crooked roots

and centuries old depth.

I sense your street’s history

And its spirits of the past,

you reek of immensity

even in modern times.

You housed sock stores,

and a temple in the past.

Now you stand silently

With serenity and peace.

I am grateful I found you,

You make me feel calm,

Beautiful Wazi Alley,

I hope you live on.
