Forging your own path,
takes time,
takes energy,
takes patience,
takes courage.
Everyone isn’t pleased
when you push against
the grain of society,
the nuggets of convention,
or familial expectations.
It is a lonely path.
Some folks don’t get it.
They never will get it.
They don’t have to get it.
They don’t need to get it.
New paths make new ideas.
Sometimes we must think
outside all possibilities
to delve further into
the crux of who we are.
Never give up on yourself.
Your own path may be
Unconventional,
Un heard of,
Unthinkable.
Align yourself with your heart.
You won’t regret it.
