What have the humans done?

The greed of money and power

Made them ravenous for you.

You do not belong trapped inside

many cages swimming in filth

and disgusting, dirty containers

filled with slime and grime as

you await to be picked, bought,

slaughtered, gutted and enjoyed

by greedy humans indulging in

tasting a “novelty” meat and

trying a wild animal as “luxury”.

Nature, you have made us pay

A price, a huge, major price,

for unsanitary greed and power

by gifting us a small coronavirus.

So powerful and so destructive.

Your message to us humans sends

shivers down my immune system.

THIS IS OUR RESPONSE TO YOU

HUMANS FOR REFUSING TO

RESPECT OUR EXISTENCE

AND LEAVE OUR BEINGS ALONE!

LEAVE US ALONE HUMANS!

I hear you; I hope all humans do.

I apologize to you on behalf

Of all of humanity in the world.

I respect nature, I respect you.

I am sorry humans failed you.
